Evangelism

Evangelism is, of course, a major focus for us in Life Blood Ministries. We have all done street ministry and shared our faith in Jesus Christ in hard to reach places.

We are willing to help other churches and individuals start an evangelism program and teach ways we can share Christ with others.

We believe that all evangelism is a result of a healthy relationship with Jesus Christ, and that all evangelism must be done in love.

When we do share the things about Christ, we rely on the power of the Holy Spirit, we do spiritual warfare, and we are adamant about prayer.

We believe that someone coming to faith in Jesus is not because of our effort  or convincing, but the result of the work of the Holy Spirit on someone’s life; we believe this because 1 Corinthians 12:3 tells us: “no one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ except by the Holy Spirit”. Additionally, John 3:5 tells us: “Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God”;  and Titus 3:4-7 explains:  “But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life” (emphasis added).[1]

The Holy Spirit is the person of the Godhead that is directly involved at the moment of salvation and regenerating an individual. It is not our job to bring people to Jesus, it is the job of the Holy Spirit to bring people to Jesus. We serve simply as messengers to bring the message of Jesus Christ to others, and we then accept the fact that the Holy Spirit is doing His job on changing the hearts of individuals.
